It’s End of Year Comms season!

With the final quarter of the year underway it’s time to start thinking about end of year comms and it’s important to communicate the right message whether it’s to your team or the public to wrap up the year!

When it comes to internal comms there’s a multitude of approaches to share your appreciation and acknowledge all of everyone’s efforts during the past year - so much so that it’s hard to know where to start, so we’ve put together a few examples to serve as inspiration.

Because we’re talking internal comms we can’t share the full videos with you but we do have a few frames so you can see how great the execution can be!

The Parody:

If you’re looking to celebrate the end of the year by surprising your team with a parody video - we’ve got you covered. Here’s a peak at a ‘Love Actually’ parody to celebrate the festive season, featuring members of the team that everyone knows, as well as using branding and culture recognisable to everyone.

Complete with a Hugh Grant celebration dance scene, handwritten cue cards with heartfelt messages and a gift wrapping meltdown.

An approach like this celebrates everyone’s contribution, surprises your team with some comedic relief, while also weaving in achievements to an on theme script - our bread and butter.

The Infographic:

If you’re looking for more of a recap to the year,  to showcase many detailed and  important statistics we’d suggest an infographic video! This can be informed by brand guidelines and storyboarded to reflect your brand and its mission, with animations to help display information in a more digestible way for your audience.

It can be anything from a sentimental, earnest piece, or a hype reel to showcase fun and impressive achievements - the world is your infographic oyster!

The Walk & Talk:

And last but not least, if you’re wanting to have a bit of face time with your senior leadership but a static piece-to-camera isn’t going to cut it - we’d suggest a walk-and-talk.

Shooting different sections of the script around different areas in-office or on site is a great way to keep things interesting and take pride in all that’s been built (metaphorically or literally) during the calendar year.

Whether you have an office, sites that you run or support, or a regular meeting/seminar venue - we can breathe life into your end-of-year communications.

If this has inspired any ideas, or if you’re not sure where to start - book a meeting with us today and we can begin the process of signing off the year right, setting you up for success in 2025.
